Case Study - Reimagining social finance on Twocents, where your username is your net worth.
Ailero partnered with Twocents to design and build a launch-ready landing page for one of fintech’s boldest ideas: a social app where your (anonymous) net worth becomes your username. From design to front-end code, we helped turn a viral tweet into a real website.
Case Study Highlights
Overview
Twocents is a bold experiment in financial transparency: a social app where your username is your (anonymized) net worth. First teased by founder Andi (@Nexuist) on X in December 2024, the concept struck a nerve within the fintech and tech Twitter communities — equal parts provocative, clever, and disarmingly honest.
Ailero partnered with Twocents to take the idea from tweet to tangible website. We were brought in to lead design and development of the landing page — crafted to intrigue, explain, and convert early adopters. We didn't just design it — we delivered it fully coded and launch-ready.
How Ailero Helped
From the outset, our goal was to translate Twocents' daring concept into a visual and interactive experience that felt as fresh and unconventional as the idea itself.
-
Design with a Point of View: Twocents isn't another crypto project or stock-tracking app — it's a cultural experiment. We leaned into that with a design that's intentionally sharp and minimal, letting the core idea speak for itself. The dark gold theme, liquid glass effects, and subtle animations work together to build curiosity without overwhelming the user.
-
Brand Identity and Visual Language: We incorporated a logo and visual identity that subtly nod to value and currency, while staying far from cliché. The hero section features an animated gradient that mimics the shimmer of a gold coin under light — modern, elegant, and quietly symbolic.
-
Social Proof as Momentum: Given Twocents' early traction on X, we built a dynamic testimonial section that pulls in real user reactions. Rather than a static grid, we used a staggered vertical carousel across three columns, creating a sense of motion and buzz — reflecting the app's rapid viral growth.
-
Design to Deployment: We didn't stop at mockups. Our team handled full front-end development, ensuring the final product mirrored our design intent down to the pixel. The landing page was built with performance and responsiveness in mind, ready to scale as traffic rolled in from X and beyond.

The Outcome
Twocents launched into a receptive and curious audience with a digital presence that matched the ambition of the idea. The landing page became a key part of the app's early momentum, sparking thousands of visits and shares.
Ailero's role wasn't just to make something that looked good — we built something that framed a radical idea in a way that felt accessible, engaging, and real.
